Mindracer is a mathematics racing game, for one or two players. Put your adding, subtraction, multiplication and division skills to the test!
There are two game modes, on or two player, and there are a number of difficulty levels, from easy to expert. When the game starts you have a tiny car on a strip, and a problem to solve. When you've given the right answer, your car creeps forward. Eventually, you'll finish enough maths problems and complete the race. If doing mathematical problems against the clock sounds like fun, you'll love it, but otherwise it will probably just give you a headache!
The competitive two player races are good fun. They have you and your partner literally head to head at opposite ends of your iPhone furiously doing sums. The difficulty levels should suit all comers, with the Easy mode being accessible to most, and an expert mode that will make most people, or at least this reviewer, feel like plankton! If you're proud of your achievements, there's an option to tweet your results direct from the game!
Apart from being based on the idea mathematics can be fun, the main problem with MindRacer is the dull visuals. Graphics wouldn't add to the gameplay, but they could provide eye candy, which they currently don't at all.
MindRacer is a great competitive mathematics game, but won't attract players who don't enjoy solving maths problems!
